Board & Batten

Board & Batten is commonly found as both half height walls and full height walls. Varying the width, quantity, and spacing of the battens produces a variety of different looks. Additionally, there are many ways to finish the top of the style. You can either let the battens run into the ceiling or cap it with a frame, ledge, and/or lip. A ledge with a lip is used when the client wants to be able to rest artwork on the ledge without it falling forward. You can also add some hooks to hang things like towels, backpacks, coats, etc.
